So you can see some sample wedding photos, I've put a whole load of my wedding photos online. They're split into different sections to show you the different stages of a wedding day.

My aim is to show you the inspiration, skill and theory behind wedding photography, and what goes into creating good wedding pictures.

The Bride Getting Ready

Big windows, bright light, or low light...photographing the bridal party getting ready has a lot of techincal challenges.

And, everyone's stress levels are running high! Brides often tell me not to photograph them until they're ready, but photos of this stage can be beautiful, and really set the scene at the beginning of a photo album.

Before The Ceremony

Photographing guests as they arrive is one of my favourite parts of a wedding, as there's often big reunions of people who haven't seen each other in a long time. I usually stand back from the action and use a long lens to take photos discreetly.

Wedding Ceremony Photos

I love the ceremony! For me it's what your wedding day is all about. And I love capturing everyone's emotions on camera.

After The Ceremony

Similar to the pre-ceremony part of the day in that I photograph people unaware as they relax with friends and family.

Formal Wedding Photos

The necessary evil!! Only joking! It's a good chance for me to build a rapport with guests, and I try to be as quick as possible. They make nice photos for grandparents anyway! :-)

Wedding Reception Photos

I don't generally take photos during the meal, as I can't think of anyone that likes being photographed while they're eating. So I tend to take a break and re-join the wedding party as coffee is being served, in time for the speeches.

Evening Entertainment

Another fun part of the day - everyone letting their hair down! As other people will be taking photos with flash, I'll start using flash. Most of these will be black and white as they usually always look better that way!
