A boudoir is a lady's private sitting room, bedroom or dressing room. It's a French word, and apparantly means 'pouting room'! In olden days, sulking young ladies were sent to their boudoirs to pout in private!

Sensual boudoir photography involves tastefully posed and lit pictures. Usually you will just be in underwear, although if you're comfortable you can reveal more.

Skilled boudoir photographers use suggestive poses. This is a thoroughly classy affair, not an x-rated shoot!

The goal is to create desire in the eye of the beholder. That's why most women have boudoir pictures taken as a surprise gift for their partner. And what a surprise!

Also, women report a massive increase in confidence, self-esteem and comfort with their own bodies afterwards.
