Budget Wedding Photography

With this guide to budget wedding photography I want to give you a rough idea of what you can expect to get for your money.

Cheap wedding photographers don't necessarily take low-quality photos.

There are a number of factors that determine wedding photography prices:

• How many hours you have the photographer for and how much he charges for his time;
• How many photos are included and how much the photographer thinks they're worth;
• The size/quality/brand of wedding album;
• Any additional products such as framed prints, proof albums or DVD slideshows.

1. Cost - £295-£500

2. Attendance - Coverage of the wedding ceremony and possibly formal group shots immediately afterwards.

3. Photos - 15-20 8"x6".

4. Album - Ready-made matted album (potentially a bit dated looking!)

5. Additional Products - most likely none.

The style of low-end photography is usually traditional rather than reportage because the more photos are taken, the more time the photographer has to spend in post-production.

The idea is to create a package with low costs to the photographer in terms of time and materials.

This type of package is common for ceremonies at a registry office, as it enables the photographer to shoot more than one wedding in a day.
